5 Things you need to know before you Brunch at Padre, Latin Table & Craft Cocktails

Hola Mami!

Today we had Momsgiving Brunch and it was exactly what our souls needed!

The Long Beach Mommy Blogger Tribe

The Long Beach Mommy Blogger Tribe was hosted by Padre, Latin Table & Craft Cocktails in Long Beach for Brunch today and it was absolutely perfect! This was the first time all of us had experienced Padre and it was amazing! The atmosphere, decor, service and food were above average. Let me start with the great drink selection and full bar availability, I went with Citra Old Fashioned and it was a perfect smoky and strong cocktail. I was surprised I really liked it because I am more of a whisky drinker and this Old Fashioned had mezcal, resposado tequila, grapefruit oleo, citra hop tincture and angostura bitters.

From the “Las Botanas” section (appetizers) we shared chips and guacamole garnished with pickled onion and cilantro and the chips were house-made corn tortilla chips, absolutely delicious! I also ordered Takis Elote (street corn) and it was definitely a spicy explosion of flavor! The Takis Elote is grilled corn, cut in half and has chipotle mayo, crumbled takis crust, habanero aioli, queso fresco and cilantro. I definitely recommend you get that if you ever visit Padre!

From the Brunch menu (available Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 2pm) I ordered Verde Chilaquiles and it didn’t disappoint 😋. Chilaquiles are my all-time favorite breakfast choice, these were made with fried tortilla chips, salsa verde and included black beans, hoja santa crema, fried egg, queso fresco, pickled onions, cilantro and although I didnt, they do have the option to add a protein.

For dessert we shared a couple of items from the “Postres” menu. I ordered the Aztec Chocolate which is a chocolate lava cake topped with spiced chocolate, it was sweet and just a little bit spicy. I also shared the Churros Balls, deep fried dough dusted with sugar and spices, served a la mode and with a side of choclate dipping sauce. To balance the flavors and because I love coffee, I had iced coffee with creamer. The desserts were the perfect ending to a delicious brunch. We were all absolutely impressed with the kind and attentive service as well as how fun and open the space is.
