If your family is anything like ours, then you’ve probably already seen Inside Out 2 in theaters and are just as obsessed with all things Disney+ as we are! Well, buckle up, because there’s more magic on the horizon. Disney+ just announced two brand-new Pixar series that are going to have fans counting down the days: Dream Productions, launching December 11, 2024, and Win or Lose, debuting February 19, 2025!
Dream Productions – Coming December 11
Set in the imaginative world of Inside Out, Dream Productions takes place between the events of the original Inside Out movie and Inside Out 2. As Riley grows up and faces new challenges, her core emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear—find themselves sending memories to be processed in the dream world. And where do those dreams come from? Enter Dream Productions, the studio in Riley’s mind responsible for making sure her dreams run on time, every night!
Acclaimed director Paula Persimmon (voiced by Paula Pell) is at the helm of this hilarious and heartwarming series, but she’s got her work cut out for her. Trying to create Riley’s next big dream, she’s paired with the quirky and smug daydream director Xeni (voiced by Richard Ayoade), who’s hoping to prove he’s ready for the big leagues of night dreaming. With a mockumentary style, we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how dreams are made, and the antics that happen along the way.
Returning voices include Amy Poehler as Joy, Maya Rudolph as Mom, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Lewis Black as Anger, with new cast members Ally Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, and Tony Hale joining the fun. Win or Lose – Coming February 19, 2025
If you’re looking for something fresh and totally original, Pixar’s Win or Lose will be your next favorite series! This brand-new show gives us a unique perspective on a high-stakes week leading up to the “big game”—but it’s not just about the players. Each episode follows the same story from the viewpoint of a different character, whether it’s the nervous kids on the field, their over-involved parents, or even a lovesick umpire. It’s an emotional, often hilarious look at what it feels like to be in each person’s shoes as they navigate their own personal wins and losses.
With Saturday Night Live’s Will Forte lending his voice to the role of Coach Dan, Win or Lose promises to pack plenty of laughs. Directed, written, and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, with David Lally as producer, this series has all the hallmarks of Pixar’s signature blend of humor, emotion, and captivating animation. It’s going to be an absolute must-watch!
