Yesterday we attended a special screening of Like A Boss at the London West hosted by We All Grow Latina! And yes, this is the second time I watch Like a Boss and it was just as entertaining as the first time! I even noticed some things I had missed the first time around! So, I will say it again, head out to the theaters tomorrow and support our SalmaHayek opening weekend of Like A Boss!
After the screening we were treated to a panel of Latina Boss Ladies! It was so motivating and also informative! Talk about saving for tax season!! Fernanda Kelly led the panel and shared her experience as an entrepreneur (she is a host, actress and Emmy winner) and owner of Shopnytaq. It was comforting to hear that everyone goes through similar struggles when contemplating starting a business.
One of the panelists was Bricia Lopez, she is the co-owner of La Guelaguetza the co-founder of I Love Micheladas & co-creator of Súper Mamás! She was very insightful in preparing for the tax season and the importance of true Human Resources.
Panelist & Mami Fernanda Romero also an actress & CEO of Vitaparfum talked about her experience starting off her business with her bff selling healing stones and the transition into perfumes. It was fun to hear how the movie resonated with her and her experience! She suggests you stay true to your brand and focus on that.
Valerie Estrella started off as a makeup artist and behind the scene until she decided to take the front seat and it was a success! She is the designer of Starlow and let me tell you, her line is super chic and she looked absolutely flawless!! Her tip was to keep it balanced with work and family because starting your own business is time consuming and exhausting but all worth it.
The most fierceTTT (once your watch Like a Boss you’ll get this reference) panelist was Ydelays, mostly for her courage of starting a new business all by herself and pregnant! If you’re a mami, you know how exhausting pregnancy is and to start a business in the mix of everything else is amazing and puts all my excuses to shame!!! She started off as a YouTube make up artist in Spanish and is the Founder and CEO of Golden Dream Beauty cruelty free and vegan eyelashes that look fabulous!! Her final message was for you to always believe in yourself and just take a leap of faith.
All the boss ladies had an inspirational story to share and great advise. It was great to be in attendance and just soak it all in! 2020 just begun and this was exactly what I needed, thank you to We all grow Latina for the invitation and to Like a Boss Movie for the inspiration!

¡Ayer asistimos a una proyección especial de Like A Boss en el London West en Sest Hollywood organizada por @WeAllGrowLatina ¡Y sí, esta es la segunda vez que veo @LikeABossmov y fue tan entretenido como la primera vez! ¡Incluso me di cuenta de algunas cosas que me había perdido la primera vez! Entonces, lo diré nuevamente, ¡salgan a los cines mañana y apoyen en el fin de semana de apertura de @SalmaHayek en Like a boss!
¡Después de la proyección nos invitaron a un panel de Jefas Latinas! ¡Fue muy motivador y también informativo! @fernandakellyyy dirigió el panel y compartió su experiencia como empresaria (es anfitriona, actriz y ganadora de Emmy) y propietaria de @shopnytaq Fue reconfortante escuchar que todos pasan por dificultades similares al contemplar iniciar un negocio.
¡Una de las panelistas fue @bricialooez, es copropietaria de @laguelaguetza, cofundadora de @ilovemicheladas y cocreadora de @_supermamas! Entre otras cosas, nos informó de lo importante que es prepararse para la temporada de impuestos de negocios y la importancia de los verdaderos Recursos Humanos.
La panelista y Mami @fernandaromeroo también actriz y CEO de @Vitaparfum habló sobre su experiencia al comenzar su negocio con su mejor amiga vendiendo piedras curativas y la transición a los perfumes. ¡Fue divertido escuchar cómo la película resonó con ella y su experiencia! Ella sugiere que te mantengas fiel a tu marca y te concentres en eso.
@valerie_star comenzó como maquilladora y detrás de las cámaras hasta que decidió tomar el asiento delantero y fue un éxito! ¡Ella es la diseñadora de @shopstarlow y déjame decirte que su línea es súper elegante y se veía absolutamente perfecta! Su consejo fue mantenerlo equilibrado con el trabajo y la familia porque comenzar tu propio negocio lleva mucho tiempo y es agotador, pero vale la pena.
La panelista más fierceTTT (cuando veas la pelo sabrás esta referencia) fue @Ydelays principalmente por su coraje de comenzar un nuevo negocio sola y embarazada. ¡Si eres una mami, sabes lo agotador que es el embarazo y comenzar un negocio en combinación con todo lo demás es increíble y avergüenza todas mis excusas! ¡Comenzó como artista de maquillaje de YouTube en español y es la fundadora y directora ejecutiva de @goldendreambeauty pestañas veganas que se ven fabulosas! Su mensaje final fue que siempre creas en ti misma y que ya des el salto de fe.
Todas las jefas tenían una historia inspiradora para compartir y excelentes consejos. ¡Fue genial estar presente y empaparlo todo! 2020 acaba de comenzar y esto era exactamente lo que necesitaba, ¡gracias @weallgrowlatina por la invitación y @likeabossmov por la inspiración!
