This past Sunday, we decided to do our annual Pumpkin Patch visit at @tanakafarms ! Keeping the Hello Kitty theme this week of course! Thankfully, our lovely Mommy & Me teacher @megzsuarez mentioned that now you have to reserve your parking spot ahead of time ($10 on weekends and free on weekdays) because they don’t want guests parking on the residential streets.
Last year it got pretty insane with the parking situation, we had to walk quite the distance in a residential area and on the way back, found and awesome Korean BBQ! Howeverer, this year it was much more organized with the reserve parking situation and also we tried to go as late as possible to avoid the October Irvine heat!! It was perfect! It would have been nice to know that all the food places in the farm close at 5pm, but no biggie, they gave us free churros for the inconvenience 🤭. So that’s a win for me any day! However, we became bee magnets! I love that they have WAY more bees this year but I’m a little terrified after having a horrible allergic reaction in the past being stung by one 😳.
So.. keep these things in mind if you are thinking of going to Tanaka Farms this year! :
- Reserve your parking online or you won’t be let in!
- Food court closes at 5pm.
- They have tons and tons of bees

It was loads of fun though, for Stacy! We rode the tractor train a couple of times and walked the maze (though I was chased out by bees)! All in all, fun times Pumpkin patching as always!

¡Este domingo, decidimos hacer nuestra visita anual de Pumpkin Patch en @tanakafarms! ¡Manteniendo el tema de Hello Kitty, por supuesto! Afortunadamente, nuestra encantadora maestra de la clase de Mommy & Me mencionó que ahora tienes que reservar tu lugar de estacionamiento con anticipación ($ 10 los fines de semana y gratis entre semana) porque no quieren que los invitados se estacionen en las calles residenciales.
El año pasado, la situación del estacionamiento se volvió bastante loca, tuvimos que caminar bastante en una zona residencial y, en el camino de regreso, ¡encontramos una increíble barbacoa coreana! ¡Sin embargo, este año fue mucho más organizado con la situación de estacionamiento de reserva y también tratamos de llegar lo más tarde posible para evitar el calor de octubre en Irvine! ¡Fue perfecto! Hubiera sido bueno saber que todos los lugares de comida en la granja cierran a las 5pm, pero no es gran cosa, nos dieron churros gratis por las molestias 🤭. ¡Así que eso es una victoria para mí cualquier día! ¡Sin embargo, nos convertimos en imanes de abejas! Me encanta que tengan MUCHO más abejas este año, pero estoy un poco aterrorizados después de haber tenido una reacción alérgica horrible en el pasado por una picadura 😳.
Así que … ten esto en cuenta si estás pensando en ir a Tanaka Farms este año. :
1. ¡Reserve su estacionamiento en la página de web o no lo dejarán entrar!
2. El patio de comidas cierra a las 5 p.m.
3. Tienen toneladas y toneladas de abejas.

Sin embargo, ¡fue muy divertido para Stacy! ¡Montamos el tren tractor un par de veces y caminamos por el laberinto (aunque las abejas me persiguieron)! En general, ¡momentos divertidos, en el pumpkin Patch como siempre! ¿A dónde vas a ir tú por tus calabazas este año?
