Review: Alegria Cocina Latina, a little gem in DTLB!

Alegria – Cocina Latina is a little gem in Downtown Long Beach.

Alegria has valet parking right at front, making it super convenient and easy to get to. The management and staff are super friendly, ready to make sure you have the best of time! I most recently went there this past Saturday to celebrate my big 33rd birthday with a group of about 22 people for dinner, show and dancing!

They had our table ready for us and the menu set. My guests paid for the pre-set menu that included the show, a salad and entrée and dessert. I would recommend the chicken or the salmon option, those had the most votes from my group. Personally, I chose the chicken and it was just perfect! We also ordered Sangria, I would definitely recommend you try the red Sangria, it is delicious!

The show was very entertaining, my husband is from Spain and he even thought they were all from Spain, turns out they are just very passionate Angelinos! They were very fun to watch over dinner. After the dinner and show was over we were told that the area would be turning into a dance floor so we were moved to a VIP area to continue the birthday celebration with champagne for everyone! We danced the night away enjoying the very lively Latin music! My group enjoyed their time there and we will all be going back real soon! Perhaps a Mom’s night out! If you are in the mood for some Latin inspired cuisine, flamenco show and a little dancing, this is your spot!

So, Cheers! Arriba, Abajo, Al Centro y Pa’Dentro!

Arriba, Abajo, Al Centro y Pa’Dentro!
