Travel with Toddler – Cancun Resort / Viajar con niños pequeños – Cancún Resort

Traveling with a toddler is the challenge my Husband and I took when we decided to go out of the country to visit Cancun, Mexico for vacation this last July. Let me say, the resort we stayed at made a world of a difference.

We stayed at Villa del Palmar in Playa Mujeres. It was away from the hotel zone in a more mellow, family oriented area. My husband and I have visited Cancun three times, we knew we wanted to spend more time in the resort this time around so we really did our homework and researched many resorts. When it came to booking our stay, we went with Costco Travel and got the all-inclusive one-bedroom suite and we loved it! It was more than what we expected, it was Mami friendly to the max! The room had a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, two restrooms both with showers, in room jacuzzi/whirlpool and an outdoor patio with a table and hammock.

The resort has a total of five pools, though we only used three, the kiddie pool was our favorite. There is a total of five restaurants for dinner, we tried all of them. Each restaurant has a specialty and they all offered a variety of items, you can tell it was all made fresh to order and they all offer great healthy choices. The steakhouse is the only one I remember having the longest wait as well as the longest wait when waiting for your food, but it was soooo worth it because my husband and I agreed that the steaks were as good as “Flemings”.

The staff in the resort was very nice and helpful, my husband and I always make sure we take dollars and tip at the beginning and throughout our stay. The staff didn’t forget us and called us by our first names throughout our whole seven day stay. We are fans of great service, especially when things can’t wait with a little one. Our baby girl had a great time, we were comfortable with letting her walk around it was a worry-free, stress-free vacation. We really cannot wait to go back to this resort.
